25 TIP: Deep Value Investing w/ Tobias Carlisle

In this episode of The Investor’s Podcast, Stig and Preson interview the author of, Deep Value. This book is a fascinating read that statistically demonstrates the theory that companies with very bad past performance (with respect to earnings), tend to outperform high premium picks. Toby was highly influenced by Benjamin Graham and Joel Greenblatt and it comes highly recommended by Preston and Stig.

Tobias Carlisle, the Managing Director of Eyquem Investment Management LLC, also serves as a portfolio manager for Eyquem Fund LP and other accounts that are managed separately. He has gained a lot of fame and respect mainly as an author on his website named Greenbackd, but he has also earned a special place in the finance world due to his books, Quantitative Value and Deep Value.
